ABOUT BOARDMAN HANNAH
Two Michiganders boomerang home with legacy on their minds.
The names Boardman and Hannah are synonymous with Traverse City.
Captain Horace Boardman, the namesake of the river that winds through the city, originally purchased much of the land that is now Traverse City and later sold it to the Hannah-Lay Company.
Perry Hannah, commonly known as the founding father of Traverse City, has his legacy cemented throughout the city by way of buildings he developed, the famous Perry Hannah House, and a statue along the Boardman River.
The legacies of these two founding fathers of Traverse City have been maintained through generations of change and development.
Through Boardman Hannah, we acknowledge the legacy of Boardman and Hannah as we seek to usher in the next generation for a single great business in Michigan.
Adam Root
Born and raised in Traverse City, Adam has a deep love for the state of Michigan. He has held operating roles at Target, Amazon, Blake’s Seed Based (as COO of the investment-backed start-up), and as a founder. After earning his MBA from the Kellogg School or Management, Adam decided to boomerang home in his search to acquire Michigan-based business.
Adam has BA in Finance from MSU (10’) and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management (21’)
Joe Brummitt
Born and raised in Metro Detroit, Joe comes from a quintessential Auto family. He has held revenue generating sales/customer success roles at LinkedIn (acq by MSFT), CloudCraze (now SFDC eCommerce Cloud), RingCentral, and Slack (acq by SFDC). Joe also runs an NPO, HIYMH (how is your mental health?), that has distributed nearly $50k to those in need of mental health resources.
